How to Learn German from Home There has never been a better time to move to Germany - and to learn German! Lingoda has a revolutionary new program for everyone who is moving to Europe’s largest economy and is ready to live their best life. I am no stranger to expat life - I have moved many times in my life. Most notably to Germany, to Croatia, to Slovenia, to Egypt, and back to the States as an adult. The one thing that really helps you to connect with your new home and create a new life is to learn how to communicate to locals and adapt to their culture. What You Need to Know When You Move to Germany The Moving to Germany program offers 30 online group classes (in small groups of 3-4 students plus your native speaker teacher) which is valid for 3 months. The price is a one time payment of EUR 299/$349; RUB 19,999; ZL 1,249 but if you use my code NIKKIMOVE you’ll get a discount of EUR 50/$50/RUB 3750). See more info here: bit.ly/nikkimove If you’re still not sure that Lingoda is right for you, take a trial class! You can take a trial one hour German lesson with a teacher for just 99 cents. There are SO many new things that come up when you move to a new place. You’ll have to adjust to your new town or city, open a bank account, find an apartment, order at a restaurant, and talk to people at shops and markets. It can be super intimidating to actually use and speak the language (especially if you’ve been learning on your own at home). Sometimes people won’t understand what you’re trying to say so you’ll have to use all of the hand gestures you can to get your point across. But with a program like Lingoda’s, you’ll have that speaking and listening practice with German natives so you’ll be able to truly learn how to communicate and understand what people are saying. As always, let me know if you have any questions! I know what you are going through - I have been there before. I’m excited for your move to Germany (maybe you’ve already moved and are ready to work on your language skills further?) - in any case - keep me posted! Remember to use NIKKIMOVE for a discount on Lingoda’s newest course Move to Germany. Make sure to follow along on: Subscribe on YouTube Bis bald! See you soon :)

Recipes for Language Learning Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies and it's such a great way to work on your language skills! I love to watch cooking shows and YouTube videos so I decided to film a super simple recipe in easy, slowly spoken German. Let me know if this is how you make your oatmeal or if you make them another way! Easy Overnight Oats 1/3 cup (80 g) old fashioned/rolled oats 2/3 cup (150 g) milk 2 tablespoons (30 g) chia seeds 1. Using an old jam jar, put the oats and chia seeds into the jar. 2. Pour at least 2/3 cup of any milk you like on top of the oats and seeds. 3. Close the lid and shake it up well! 4. Place in the fridge overnight. In the morning, you'll have perfectly cooked oats with chia seeds (it becomes almost like an oatmeal chia pudding mixture) and it's absolutely delicious eaten cold or warm! You can add blueberries and cinnamon and even maple syrup if you'd like to sweeten it up.
Let me know if you have any video requests for me.
