Phrases With Time:

Wann arbeitest du? - When do you work?

Arbeitest du von Montag bis Freitag? - Do you work from Monday to Friday?
Oder von Sonntag bis Donnerstag? - Or from Sunday to Thursday?

von....bis = from...until

Am Freitag - On Friday
Am Mittwoch - On Wednesday

Notice the Difference

Notice the different meanings of das Kochen and the verb kochen.

Das Kochen = cooking
kochen = to cook

Similarly, the meaning of das Essen is the food and the verb essen means to eat.

Das Essen = food
essen = to eat
